If so we have an opportunity available for the right person to join the Maternity services at Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
With your experience, you will help guide our Newly Qualified Midwives in their first months, providing mentorship, education and overall pastoral care.
We want our midwives to enjoy working with us and the families we serve. Shaping our vision for an outstanding service that gives women, families, our community and our midwives an extraordinary experience.
Main duties of the job
With births of around 6000 per year, Bolton is the ‘Supercentre’ for the northwest, providing high quality compassionate care to the women of Bolton, Bury, Salford and beyond.
What we are currently doing:
- Offering 4 choices of birth environment
- Developing a continuity of carer model
- Developing a case loading team
- Providing high quality care to high risk women
- Working towards offering a transitional care service
- Developing our perinatal mental health service to offer a more holistic approach to women with mental health needs.
This post requires self-motivation, with excellent organisational and communication skills to support New Qualified Midwives as they begin their career.
These roles may be suitable for people who have retired from Midwifery but wish to inspire and nurture the midwifery workforce of the future
You will have a general wide range of clinical experience supporting a good clinical knowledge base; knowledge and skills across a range of clinical practical procedures; and up-to-date knowledge of clinical governance and risk management.
